Refund Policy
This policy describes how cancellations and refunds work for CipherSentry subscriptions. It applies together with our Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
1. How you are charged
Payments for paid subscriptions are processed by Paddle.com, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. This means Paddle is the official seller of record for your purchase: it handles the payment, applicable taxes and invoices. Refund requests are processed through Paddle and the amount is returned to the original payment method.
2. Free plan
The Free (€0) plan involves no charge, so there is nothing to refund. You may stop using it at any time.
3. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time, with no commitment period. On cancellation:
- You keep access to your plan until the end of the period already paid.
- You are not charged again in subsequent periods.
- Your data remains subject to the Privacy Policy (export and deletion available).
4. Refunds
- 14-day guarantee on your first payment: if you are not satisfied with a paid plan, you may request a full refund of the first period within 14 calendar days of that first charge.
- Subsequent periods: monthly renewal charges are non-refundable once the period has started; to avoid the next charge, cancel before renewal (you keep access until the end of the current period).
- Refunds are issued through Paddle to the original payment method.
5. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
If you purchase as a consumer in the EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. By activating the service immediately, you request that performance begin before that period ends. In any case, the 14-day guarantee in section 4 covers that period. This right does not apply to business-to-business (B2B) purchases.
6. How to request a refund
Email us at hello@ciphersentry.yoire.com with your account email and the reason. We will confirm processing through Paddle. We reserve the right to deny refunds in cases of abusive or fraudulent use of the service.
