Terms and Conditions of Service

CipherSentry · Last updated: 2026-07-06 · Pre-production version (pending legal review before launch)

These Terms govern access to and use of CipherSentry, a managed SSH honeypot service with a control panel and threat-intelligence reports. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these Terms.

1. Provider

The service is provided by CipherSentry — Spain (legal form to be confirmed upon tax registration). Contact: hello@ciphersentry.yoire.com. Full registration details appear in the Legal Notice.

2. Scope of the service

CipherSentry deploys sensors (SSH honeypots) that emulate a Debian 12 environment to attract and record attacker activity, and provides a dashboard and reports with the resulting intelligence. The service is provided on a tiered subscription model.

3. Plans and pricing

  • Free — €0/mo · window of the 200 most recent sessions · no command limit.
  • Starter — €19/mo · window of 2,000 sessions · no command limit.
  • Pro — €79/mo · window of 20,000 sessions · no command limit.
  • Enterprise — from €499/mo · custom window and retention.

Your visible history is limited to your plan's session window (the most recent ones); upgrading widens the window further back in time. There is no command limit. During this pre-production phase there is no active billing; the Founder Program is governed by its own specific conditions.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use CipherSentry only on your own or authorised infrastructure. Using the service to attack, scan or interfere with third-party systems without permission, or for any unlawful purpose, is prohibited. You are responsible for the legality of deploying your sensors in your jurisdiction.

5. Intellectual property

  • The client sensor is distributed as open-source software under the MIT licence (github.com/cipher-sentry/ssh-honeypot-sensor).
  • The central emulation engine, the dashboard, the reports, the brand and the content are owned by CipherSentry and protected by intellectual-property law. No licence is granted over them beyond use of the service.

6. Availability and liability

In pre-production the service is provided "as is" and as available, with no guarantee of continuity or service-level agreement (SLA). To the extent permitted by law, CipherSentry is not liable for indirect damages, loss of data or loss of profit arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Personal data

Data processing is governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Data captured by your honeypots belongs to third-party attackers and is processed under the legitimate interest of security. The intelligence derived from those captures forms part of CipherSentry's threat corpus and is retained and used de-linked from your account, including after its closure.

8. Term and cancellation

You may cancel at any time by deleting your account from the dashboard; the effect of data deletion is described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will publish the current version with its date; continued use after an update implies acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. To exercise data-protection rights you may contact the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

Pre-production document. It will be reviewed and validated by the legal team before commercial launch.
